Another surprise considering the parentage of this one. I was hoping for a pink with some of the shark's tooth edging from Ruffled Strawberry Parfait but this is very striking. The substance is heavy with that famous Reckamp pink blush.
Here is another picture of a seedling from the same cross which better exhibits some of the pink blush to the petals. Considering that both parents are lavender-pinks you have to wonder where all the colour went. There is some slight sculpting to the throat area which I have seen on other Ruffled Strawberry Parfait seedlings and instead of a toothed edge there is a gentle ruffling. This was one of my favorite seedlings in 2003.
