Seismic Cool (Mussar, 2014)

SeismicCool

Tet. 6" flower, 38" scapes. A pale lavender pink self with a light cream to yellow watermark above a gold to green throat with a light yellow ruffled edge on the petals. Mid-season bloomer, semi-evergreen foliage, reblooms, 5 way branching (2 - 3 laterals plus a top V or W) and a bud count of about 25. (Belle of Ashwood x Have A Nice Day). I loved the cool, refreshing colour of these flowers borne on moderately tall scapes all summer due to the instant rebloom which prolonged the show. Seismic Cool is yet another intro from Richard Norris' powerful Belle of Ashwood which is known to pass on the instant rebloom trait. John Rice's Have a Nice Day (which has Reckamp's Fragrant Bouquet as a grandparent) contributed the tall well branched scape, the watermark and cool lavender pink colour. It is a bit earth shaking when the plan to get the best from both parents actually comes together! Easily fertile, producing abundant seed without trying very hard at all! Price $100 SF. Limited.
