Continuing with the Beatles theme, this is I Am The Walrus for those fans of large and tall daylilies. The 8" dark, cherry red, open formed blooms are held on 50" tall scapes with 4 way branching and an average of 20 buds. It is a semi-evergreen, mid-season bloomer out of Curt Hanson's great Chew Mailpouch Tobacco x Jamie Gossard's White Eyes Pink Dragon. It makes large plants with strapping foliage with blooms that will look you in the eye, well at least it does for me! An impressive plant that I am still exploring for its breeding potential, particularly for watermarks and other colours.
