Aberfoyle Blush

AberfoyleBlush

Aberfoyle Blush (Mussar, 2022) Tet. 6" bloom on 48" scapes with 3 way branching and a bud count of 15. The blooms are a pretty light pink blush with a pale, yellow watermark above a green throat. It is a mid-late season bloomer with semi-evergreen foliage. Fertile both ways. Parents are Curt Hanson's statuesque Women Seeking Men crossed with Bryan Culver's Lady Talk as the pollen parent.

I have named a few daylilies now to recognize a few of the villages nearby. The community of Aberfoyle was settled in the 1840's and named for Aberfoyle, Scotland. It is best known for Aberfoyle Spring Water which is bottled locally and for Aberfoyle Antique Market and Aberfoyle Mill with its fine dining. It is located just south of the city of Guelph and many pass through it daily on their way home as it is just off a major highway. Aberfoyle Blush has always attracted me and I am sure it will do well when not grown under my low care, field conditions.
