Registered as a red bitone with a cream halo and a green throat but Startle is most famous for the fabulous edges it throws in its kids. It is out of (Broadmore Red x My Sunshine) with My Sunshine being a Reckamp from which it probably gets its strong edge. John Benz has gotten some incredible things out of it and Jamie Gossard's Heavenly Beginnings can credit Startle for its wild fringed edges. A great northern hardy parent if you are interested in edges!
