2004: First bloom.

2005: I moved this plant from the seedling beds after its first bloom to give it more room and sun. This summer without the shade of taller plants crowding it, it developed more colour and retained its form and teeth. The scapes were still short with few buds but it was disturbed last fall so we will see what 2006 will bring. I have used its pollen a bit and should bloom a few from it next summer.

2006: This is a shot from 2006. Plant has a bud count of about 8 with scapes about 18" tall. Not good enough to introduce but maybe useful as a bridge plant.
